Job Title 1

Intern – Sekurit

Job Objective:

As Chinese automotive market is growing fast, Saint-Gobain Sekurit is now focusing on new product development which could particularly meet customers’ demands and new market trends. User-interactive glazing is defined as such a trend.

Job Responsibilities:

The intern will have the responsibility to launch survey in user-interactive glazing, delivering priority list on sub-topics. Under the priority list, she or he will prepare prototype on several topics, with help of internal and external lab.

Job Requirements:

1.      MS/PhD candidates, major in science or engineering, Electric & Electronics would be a plus, with undergraduate degree from a renowned university

2.      Communication willing and skill, oral & written English, native Chinese speaker

3.      Creative, logic and analytic thinking, strong Hand-on ability

4.      Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility

 

Job Title 2

Intern – Sekurit lab (automotive functional glazing)

As member of product lab team, support the Asia SEKURIT business

Job Responsibilities:

Designing and development of prototype

Feasibility analysis

Lab test/ analysis for encapsulation production

Job Requirements:

1.      Major in Mechanical, Materials, Electric & Electronics and Chemical related discipline

Job Title 3

Intern – Cementitious Materials Lab

水泥基材料实验室实习生

Job Objective:

As team member work closely with Engineers/technicians to conduct research and development work of cement mortar by doing trials in the lab.

Job Responsibilities:

(60%)Conduct daily trials in lab

(30%)Characterization of samples, data analysis and writing reports

(10%)Lab EHS and 5S work according to Saint-Gobain standards

Job Requirements:

1.      Major in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanics, etc. Engineering background is preferred.

2.      Good at using MS office tools. Hands-on experience in lab.

3.      Good communicator with team spirit.

4.      >3 days/week, last for at least 3 months.

Job Title 4

Intern – Coating development

Job Objective:

As a member of coating team, support functional coating development

Job Responsibilities:

Coating sample preparation by using spin-coater, dip-coater and spray-coater

Performance evaluation, including optical analysis, aging test, mechanical test

Cooperate with projector leader in idea identification and data analysis.

Job Title 5

Intern – Product and Process Lab (3D printing)

Job Objective:

Team member supporting 3D printing research projects in Product & Process Competency Labs;

Team member for hands on work in the lab including lab management, equipment operation and routine maintenance;

Support 3D printing market investigation, material scouting and information analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

Daily management: lab EHS, raw material QC, equipment usage and maintenance record etc.

Research area involves the following areas:

1.3D printing of ceramics and metals to make engineering products

2.3D printing for rapid prototyping/tooling

3.Produce 3D models for 3D printings

4.Other study areas deem appropriate as the research projects of the PPC team proceed

Job Requirements:

1.      MS/PhD candidates, major in mechanical engineering, materials engineering (inorganic material is favorable), or chemical engineering, with undergraduate degree from a renowned university.

2.      Diverse knowledge background is preferred, familiar with ceramic processing & powder metallurgy is a plus.

3.      Proficient in making 3D models using CAD software, familiar with various 3D printing techniques is a plus.

4.      Strong sense of responsibility, good communication, and team spirit.

Job Title 6

Intern – Bonded Abrasives Lab

Department

BA

Job Objective:

As team member work closely with Engineers to support the development of new process / new product of existing projects. Good coordination with the plant for pilot trials as well as lab-scale trials.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop new product (i.e., formulation DOE) and property analysis (45%)

Develop new process (i.e., mixing & molding) and industrialization (45%)

Lab EHS and 5S work according to Saint-Gobain standards (10%)

Job Requirements:

1.      Major in Polymer, Chemistry, Materials Engineering.

2.      Good at using MS office tools. Hands-on experience in lab.

3.      Good communication and team spirit. Basic English skills.

4.      5 days/week, last for 6 months.


Job Title 7

Intern – China Grinding Technology Center

CGTC

Job Objective:

Team member supporting grinding center daily management and research project.

Job Responsibilities:

1.      Daily management: lab EHS; raw material QC, equipment maintenance record

2.      Research project: per candidates’ interest. Possibilities are:

3.      Mechanical part/fixture design

4.      CNC equipment diagnosing and optimizing

5.      Grinding test method application to evaluate abrasive performance

6.      Test data analysis and conclusion

Job Requirements:

1.      Major in grinding, mechanical engineering, and material engineering.

2.      Familiar of using MS office tools

3.      Good communication and team spirit.

4.      Hands on experience or strong interest on engineering work.

Job Title 8

Intern – Surface conditioning

Department

Ceramic

Job Objective:

1.     Supporting research projects of Surface Conditioning, include but not limited to new slurry and process development

2.     Support for hands on work in the lab including lab management, equipment operation and routine maintenance

3.     Support market investigation, material sourcing and information analysis

Job Responsibilities:

1.      Design and conduct the experiments, characterize the samples and analyze the data;

2.      Conduct literature study, market investigation and information analysis;

3.      Summarize the progress and write the report;

4.      Communicate with team members about the progress;

5.      Assist the EHS leader in lab EHS work;

6.      Other study areas deem appropriate as the research projects of surface conditioning

Job Requirements:

1.      MS/PhD candidates, major in materials engineering (inorganic material is favorable), chemistry,  chemical engineering or ceramic, with undergraduate degree from a renowned university.

2.      Diverse knowledge background is preferred, familiar with ceramic processing, powder metallurgy and/or polishing is a plus.

3.      Communication willing and skill, oral & written English, native Chinese speaker

4.      Creative, logic and analytic thinking, strong hand-on ability

5.      Self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility

6.      Can work for 5 days per week, last for more than 6 months

 

Job Title 9

Intern – Zirpro Powder and Zirpro Beads

Job Objective:

Help R&D engineers doing a research project, developing new product or improving the current line

Job Responsibilities:

1.      Follow all the EHS regulations and rules;

2.      Conduct literature review for relevant topics, write a review report if necessary;

3.      Design experimental plan under supervision of engineer;

4.      Carry out experimental study, process optimization and product characterization;

5.      Collect experimental results and analyze data, summarize results;

6.      Write relevant technical report.

Job Requirements:

1.      Master degree or above.

2.      Technical background: Chemical engineering or Material science & engineering preferred. If a candidate wills to apply for a long-term position in SGRS, mechanical background is also accepted. 

3.      Proactive working attitude, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility for the project;

4.      Creative, logic and analytic thinking, strong hand-on ability.

5.      Good communication skill with all levels;

6.      Duration:

a)      Zirpro powder case: the whole internship can last for 3 months if the employee can work at least 4 days per week; prefer an intense work time if the internship will last for 6 months (1-2 day per week is not considered);

b)      Zirpro beads case: accept 2-3 days per week, the whole internship lasts for at least 4 months or above
