SPEIT Closes Team Building 2020

To increase the cohesion of SPEIT and adapt its new students faster to the family of SPEIT, SPEIT held the Team Building 2020 in its Minhang Campus on October 25th. The event was attended by the Chinese Dean of SPEIT Mr. LI Shaoyuan, the French Dean Mr. Frédéric Toumazet, Secretary of Party General Branch of SPEIT Mr. LIU Zenglu, Deputy Secretary of Party General Branch of SPEIT Ms. LI Yi, Deputy Dean of SPEIT Mr. LU Jialiang, Mathematics Group Coordinator Professor Alain Chillès, teachers from the student affairs office and the academic affairs office, Chinese and French teachers, and all the first-year and second-year students of SPEIT.

Mr. LI Shaoyuan and Mr. Frédéric Toumazet delivered opening remarks to the event, where they looked forward to the successful first offline activity held since SPEIT reopened and wished the students could communicate and get familiar with one another through team building.

After the opening remarks, the students were involved in playing games, where they shared their wonderful ideas with sincerity and humour. In orienteering, some took part in rowing exercise and indoor interactive puzzle games, and some others played simulated colle and botanical garden SPEIT envelope searching, and Pétanque, etc. The games had varying degrees of difficulty and all required teamwork. The students not only demonstrated their enthusiasm, courage, and excellence, but promoted their friendship, which helped relieve their pressures from intense studies.

At 4:00 p.m., the students returned to the auditorium 200 of the Yifu Building for the closing ceremony of the Team Building. After the video documenting the activities was played, Secretary of the SPEIT Youth League Committee Ms. LIU Jing, head of the student affairs office Ms. LV Jiangying, Ms. LI Yi, and Mr. LIU Zenglu awarded prizes to groups and individuals. At the end of the ceremony, Mr. LIU made a closing speech, where he wished the event could really encourage senior students to communicate with the new entrants who had to learn work together and communicate. With a big round of applause, the event officially came to the end.

This is the 9th time that SPEIT has organized Team Building, which is not only a traditional way of welcoming new students across French engineer colleges but a conventional large-scale event at SPEIT.
