On June 3rd, 2014, the 2ed student congress of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong was held successfully in Dong Shang Yuan 1-400. Liu Zenglu, the vice dean of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong, Song Xuming, the vice secretary of SJTU Youth League Committee, Wang Yang, the director for students’ activities of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong, and other related teachers presented the student congress.

On behave of SJTU Youth League Committee, Song Xuming announced the approval of the establishment of Youth League Committee of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong. He spoke highly of the colorful activities organized byYouth League Committee of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong and expressed his further expectations.

Liu Zenglu looked back at the achievements of Youth League Committee of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong. He encouraged the students to band together to build a more outstanding Youth League Committee.

Weng Haosen, the first presidium chairman of the student congress, declared the regulations of the student congress; in addition, he delivered the work report of the first year, which is approved by the congress. Ren Jia, the vice chairman of the presidium, reported the proposals and gave the answers to each proposal on behalf of the congress. Finally, the report was approved by the congress.

Then, the election of the student congress presidium was made.  The candidates gave an election speech, showed them by VCR and answered questions. By completion, five students, namely Lu Hongjian, Liu Yutong, Ning Bohao, Zeng Jun and Yang Yunqi, became the new members of the student congress presidium.

By the end of the student congress, Wang Yang made a summary and expressed his expectation to the new presidium and all the students.

Held successfully, the second student congress summarized the former student work and students’ proposals. The election of its new presidium improved the structure of the student congress. The setup of the Youth League Committee of ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong will bring students various activities.
