On December 24, Ma Wei, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led a delegation to visit SPEIT for research and held discussions with Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, regarding international student recruitment. Zhang Yang, Wei Xin, Shen Lili, Qi Guifang, Li Junyan, Jin Xiaoqing, and Zhu Sinan participated in this meeting.

SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology and SJTU International Office of Cooperation and Exchange jointly organized a delegation to visit France and Tunisia from December 8 to 12 for international recruitment activities. The delegation comprised Zied MOUMNI, Ma Wei, Li Yunlei, Qi Guifang, Ou Yafei, and Zhu Sinan.

From December 8 to 12, SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) jointly organized a delegation to visit France for international cooperation and exchange. The delegation included Zied MOUMNI, French Dean of SPEIT, Ma Wei, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, as well as relevant functional personnel from the office and the institute. With the core goal of "deepening existing cooperation and exploring new paths," the delegation conducted in-depth docking with multiple top French institutions. It not only consolidated the existing strategic partnerships between the two parties but also reached initial consensus on the layout of innovative cooperation projects, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of cooperation. This fully reflects the solid measures taken by the university and the institute to promote international development.

On the evening of December 17, the final evaluation meeting of the 15th “KAIYUAN” Top Ten Teachers of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held in the A100 Auditorium of the Student Center. After rounds including open-class demonstrations, student questioning, and voting by student representatives, Hamza BOUKILI, a mathematics teacher from the SPEIT, was awarded the title of the 15th “KAIYUAN” Top Ten Teacher.

On December 10, Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, led a delegation to conduct research at SJTU and held discussions with SJTU President Ding Kuiling.

Recently, the UNHCR official website featured an interview with SPEIT student Chen Yiyang on its homepage under the Spotlight: Hear from our interns section, where she appeared as one of the intern representatives. During her internship at the Office of the Ombudsman and Mediator, Chen Yiyang independently developed the “AI Support Assistant.” By leveraging free open-source tools, she enhanced the efficiency of case material organization, providing actionable insights and practical examples for the institution's internal digital transformation.

To deepen the exchange of experience in Sino-French cooperative education and jointly explore new models for cultivating elite engineers, on December 1, 2025, a delegation led by Geng Lisheng, Dean of the Zhongfa Aviation Institute of Beihang University, and Vice Dean Wang Yun visited the SPEIT for a study and exchange visit. Xiong Zhenhua, Secretary of the of SPEIT, Chinese Dean Chen Cailian, Vice Deans Lu Jialiang and Zhong Shengyi, together with heads of relevant departments, jointly received the delegation and participated in the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Xiong Zhenhua.

On the afternoon of December 2nd, Matthieu Lancry, Head of Internationalization at Paris-Saclay University, led a delegation to visit SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology. The two parties held working talks to deepen Sino-French higher education cooperation. Qi Guifang, Director of the Office of Cooperation and Development of SPEIT, together with Zhu Sinan and Zhang Yan, International Affairs Specialists of SPEIT, attended the meeting.

Recently, the finals of the “Dancing SJTU · Vibrant Arts” — the 5th Cultural and Arts Festival Dance Competition for SJTU Faculty — were held at Jingjing Hall on the Minhang campus. The cross-cultural musical performance presented by Chinese and French faculty members of the Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management (SPEIT), featuring Si j’allais en Chine (“If I Had the Chance to Go to China”) and Charm of Jiangnan, won the second prize.

From November 22 to 23, 2025, the “Interdisciplinary Graduate Academic Forum on AI+ Peri operation period Medicine,” jointly organized by the Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and co-hosted by SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology and Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai JiaoTong University, was successfully held at SJTU.

On November 26, 2025, the Grand Final of the Third “My Thesis in 3 Minutes” (MT3C) Competition was successfully held at the Lecture Hall of the Tsung-Dao Lee Library at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The event was co-organized by the Consulate General of France in Shanghai and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, hosted by the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), and supported by Université Paris Cité.

On the evening of November 27, the 2025 Ruiyuan Science and Technology Awards Ceremony and SJTU Science Night event were held at the Student Center Building. The third Ruiyuan Science and Technology Award and the second Ruiyuan Young Scientist Award were presented, honoring five distinguished scientists and eight young scientists. Professor Zhong Shengyi, Vice Dean of SPEIT, received the Engineering and Materials Science Award of the second Ruiyuan Young Scientist Award.
