Recently, following the defense review organized by the Student Affairs Steering Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Wang Shaobo, Associate Professor at the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, was awarded the honorary title of “Top Ten Class Advisors of Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2025.”

In 2025, students of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology lived up to their youth and forged ahead with determination, achieving outstanding results on both the scientific innovation front and the cultural and sports arenas. They demonstrated exceptional brilliance in intellectually competitive innovation contests and shone brightly on vibrant cultural and athletic stages, winning numerous prestigious awards at national and international levels.

As the end of the year approaches, looking back on our Institute’s work with international students over the past year reveals a new beginning and fruitful achievements. With the coordinated efforts of all departments, the Institute has remained firmly focused on its core objectives: expanding international student recruitment, deepening intercultural exchange, and enhancing international influence, steadily advancing all work related to international students. A series of remarkable outcomes has not only added a vivid stroke to the Institute’s international development blueprint, but also enabled diverse cultures to interact, integrate, and flourish on our campus.

In 2025, the Student Affairs Team of SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology achieved remarkable results by focusing on the educational goal of “cultivating outstanding engineers with both patriotic spirit and global vision.” Through coordinated efforts across three key areas, the team was honored as SJTU's 2025 Outstanding Student Affairs Collective.

As the year turns, new chapters unfold.Looking back on 2025,the Institute has fully accomplished all key annual performance targets.Across talent development, international cooperative education, scientific research and innovation, and the cultivation of outstanding engineers,the Institute has achieved comprehensive breakthroughs.

On January 8, SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology held a corporate-academic collaboration exchange meeting with Saint-Gobain, a globally renowned materials company. Discussions centered on talent development, scientific research cooperation, and internship programs, laying the groundwork for deepening future collaboration. Attendees included Alain ZANOLI, Vice President of Innovation for Asia at Saint-Gobain; Li Li, Director of Human Resources; Zhu Jia, Data Scientist and CIT Team Leader; Zied MOUMNI, French Dean of SPEIT; Zhong Shengyi, Vice Dean of SPEIT; Wang Shaobo, Dean's Assistant of SPEIT; and Hamza BOUKILI, Mathematics Teacher.

On December 26, teachers and students of the Engineering Thermodynamics course at SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) visited the energy project sites of China Huadian Corporation in Shanghai, conducting a field trip closely integrating classroom teaching with engineering practice. Abstract formulas from the classroom converged with real-world scenarios of national energy development, providing a vivid opportunity for students to understand the practical value of professional knowledge and expand their engineering perspective.

On December 24, Ma Wei, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led a delegation to visit SPEIT for research and held discussions with Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, regarding international student recruitment. Zhang Yang, Wei Xin, Shen Lili, Qi Guifang, Li Junyan, Jin Xiaoqing, and Zhu Sinan participated in this meeting.

SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology and SJTU International Office of Cooperation and Exchange jointly organized a delegation to visit France and Tunisia from December 8 to 12 for international recruitment activities. The delegation comprised Zied MOUMNI, Ma Wei, Li Yunlei, Qi Guifang, Ou Yafei, and Zhu Sinan.

From December 8 to 12, SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) and the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) jointly organized a delegation to visit France for international cooperation and exchange. The delegation included Zied MOUMNI, French Dean of SPEIT, Ma Wei, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, as well as relevant functional personnel from the office and the institute. With the core goal of "deepening existing cooperation and exploring new paths," the delegation conducted in-depth docking with multiple top French institutions. It not only consolidated the existing strategic partnerships between the two parties but also reached initial consensus on the layout of innovative cooperation projects, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of cooperation. This fully reflects the solid measures taken by the university and the institute to promote international development.

On the evening of December 17, the final evaluation meeting of the 15th “KAIYUAN” Top Ten Teachers of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held in the A100 Auditorium of the Student Center. After rounds including open-class demonstrations, student questioning, and voting by student representatives, Hamza BOUKILI, a mathematics teacher from the SPEIT, was awarded the title of the 15th “KAIYUAN” Top Ten Teacher.

On December 10, Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, led a delegation to conduct research at SJTU and held discussions with SJTU President Ding Kuiling.
