On November 29, 2024, Professor Zied MOUMNI, Dean of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the 2024 Global DBA program at emlyon Business School in Shanghai. The event gathered business elites and academic leaders to celebrate the beginning of a new cohort’s journey combining academic rigor and practical insights.

On the afternoon of November 25, 2024, the 24th Joint Management Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) was held in a hybrid format, combining online and offline participation. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Joint Management Committee and President, Ding Kuiling, Executive Vice President Xi Lifeng, Vice President Liu Weidong, Vice Chairman of the Joint Management Committee and President of ENSTA Paris, Elisabeth CREPON, President of Institut Polytechnique, Thierry COULHON, Vice Président Christopher CRIPPS, Director of the Academic Affairs Office ]of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhang Junliang, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Guo Liang, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, Zhang Wenming, French Dean Zied MOUMNI, Party Secretary Chen Cailian, Vice-dean Lu Jialiang, Deputy Secretary Yao Xue, Vice-dean Zhong Shengyi, and Dean's Assistant Sun Chenye. Also in attendance were Rémi PAUL, Chief Representative and CEO of Safran Group in China, Gu Jianmin, Chief Technology Officer of Valeo Group, and Rachid MALTI, Science Consul at the French Consulate General in Shanghai, who was invited to attend. The meeting was co-chaired by Vice President Liu Weidong and President CREPON.

To thoroughly learn and implement the spirit of the National Education Conference, and to fulfill the mentors' responsibility to cultivate students with moral integrity, and build a high-level team of mentors, the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology held the 2024 Annual Mentor Training and Exchange Session on November 20th. Chen Cailian, Secretary of the Party Committee, Lu Jialiang, Vice President and Coordinator of Information Engineering major, Zhong Shengyi, Vice President and Coordinator of Mechanic Engineering major, and Wei Guanghua, Director of the Student Science and Innovation Center and Coordinator of Energy and Power Engineering major, along with nearly 60 mentors from the college's mentor pool, newly appointed mentors, and several administrative staff participated.

To further deepen the collaboration between the school and enterprises, and to promote the sharing and integration of educational, scientific, talent, and industrial resources, on November 20th, Zhang Wenming, the Chinese Dean of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), led a team to Northern Night Vision to advance the cooperation between the school and the enterprise. Yao Xue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Wang Shaobo, a member of the Party Committee, and Sun Chenye, Dean's Assistant and Director of the Administrative Office, participated. Sun Jianing, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Northern Night Vision, Wang Jian, Deputy General Manager, and several other leaders and experts attended.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, to further consolidate the foundation of cooperation and exchange between Chinese and French faculty and staff of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, and to promote mutual cognition and recognition, on November 19, 2024, the institute organized the theme activity "Learn from History, Create the Future - Exploring the Development Context of Sino-French Educational Exchange". The event attracted the participation of several French teachers from the institute, visiting professors from French partner institutions, Chinese professional teachers and administrative personnel with overseas study experience. In addition, Teacher Zhang Xiaoyuan, Deputy Director of the Special Zone Coordination Office, and Teacher Song Rui from the Antai College of Economics and Management came to observe. The event was presided over by Associate Professor Wei Guanghua, a member of the Party Committee of the institute and the coordinator of the .

Talents Gathered from China and France, Together for Excellence. On November 18, 2024, the 5th SJTU Sino-French Young Scholars Forum of SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology was successfully held in a hybrid format, combining online and offline participation.

To deepen educational reform and implement the work requirements of Shanghai Jiao Tong University on the deep integration of artificial intelligence and higher education, the SJTU Paris Institute of Technology held a symposium on the theme of "Generative AI and Educational Reform Practice" on November 8th. The event invited Professor Huan Changpeng from the School of Foreign Languages at SJTU and Yu Jianbo, the person in charge of course construction at the Academic Affairs Office, as guest speakers. Zied MOUMNI, the French Dean, and Lu Jialiang, the Vice Dean of the SJTU Paris Institute of Technology, attended, with nearly thirty Chinese and French faculty and administrative staff participating in the exchange.

Recently, the 14th "Challenge Cup" Qin Chuangyuan Chinese College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition was held at Xi'an Jiao Tong University. This competition was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the CYL, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Student Federation, and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, and was undertaken by Xi'an Jiao Tong University and the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League. The "Red Light Sets Sail - Telling and Inheriting the Story of 'Studying in France through Work-Study Program'" project from the SPEIT won the Bronze Award in the "Belt and Road" International Invitational Competition.

In the afternoon of November 6, the award ceremony for the 2024 “Teaching Excellence Award” of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was held, and Associate Professor YUAN Yijia of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Engineering was awarded the 2024 “Teaching Excellence Award - Zhou Zhihong Chair” of SJTU. Congratulations to her!

In the autumn of Shanghai, SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (hereinafter referred to as "SPEIT") welcomed a group of young explorers—high school students from Lycée Le Likès and Descartes Academy. During their trip to Shanghai, they not only gained an in-depth understanding of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the SPEIT but also personally experienced the vitality of China's industrial innovation and the rapid development of technology.

From November 4th to 5th, 2024, a delegation led by Christopher CRIPPS, the Vice President of Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IPP), visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The delegation included Sebastien REYMOND, Head of International Cooperation at ENSTA Paris, Marie-Christine BERT, Head of International Cooperation at École des Ponts ParisTech, Nicolas PROST, Head of International Programs at Télécom Paris, and Huiling CHEN (Chen Huiling), Head of Marketing and Communications at the IPP Office in China.
