Recently, the National Finals of the 24th National University Student Robot Competition RoboMaster 2025 concluded successfully at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Yunhan Jiaolong Team fought their way through challenges and won the national championship again. Since their first victory in 2021, the Jiaolong Team has continued to dominate the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons, becoming the first team in RoboMaster history to claim four consecutive championships.

On July 29, Tong Siyu, a 2021 undergraduate student, Hu Jiaqi, a 2022 undergraduate student, and Chen Qian, a 2023 undergraduate student from SPEIT, delivered oral presentations at The 16th International Conference on Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety (ICRMS2025). Their papers were indexed by EI, and Tong Siyu and Chen Qian were each awarded the Best Presentation Award.

To further improve the talent funding system of science funds, give full play to the role of science funds in introducing and cultivating talents, and attract more outstanding overseas young talents to work in China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has launched the application for the 2025 additional batch of Excellent Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas).

From July 15 to July 20, the SPEIT “Zhongyuan Nonggu” practice team visited Xinxiang, Henan Province, focusing on the theme of “Exploring Zhongyuan Nonggu and Understanding Agricultural Technology.” They conducted on-site research at the China Bio-Breeding Industry Innovation Center, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Xinxiang Base and the Zhongyuan Nonggu Exhibition Hall.

This year marks the 61st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as a significant year for the continuation of the outcomes of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism and the deepening of cultural exchanges. From July 15 to 20, SPEIT welcomed a special group of international visitors—over 100 Chinese-French teenagers from the French Benteng Chinese School.

In July, the Xuesen Summer Camp and the Dengfeng Summer Camp organized by SPEIT recently came to a successful conclusion.The camp attracted nearly 150 outstanding high school students from all over China. During the week from July 13th to 18th, the campers broadened their horizons and enhanced their abilities through a series of rich courses and activities, and also gained precious friendships and unforgettable memories.

To deepen the development of "AI + curriculum" and promote the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence technology with education and teaching, the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) held a special symposium on "AI + Curriculum Development" on July 9. The conference invited experts including Professor Shangguan Wenfeng, undergraduate teaching supervisor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Professor Qiu Yihong from the Teaching Development Center, Director Zhang Siyu and Su Xiaoming from the Network Information Center, and He Qing and Gai Wenjing from the Educational Technology Center. Professor Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, and Vice Dean Lu Jialiang attended the meeting. Nearly 30 teachers and administrative staff participated in the discussion and exchange through a combination of online and offline methods.

From June 29 to July 1, 2025, Academician Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led a delegation on an exchange visit to France. Professor Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), Professor Zied MOUMNI, French Dean, and Qi Guifang, Director of the Cooperation and Development Office, joined the delegation. The visit focused on deepening strategic cooperation with key French partners, expanding channels for joint student training and faculty exchanges, and achieved fruitful results.

Recently, the closing ceremony of the 2025 "Sino-French International Summer School on Sustainable Development" hosted by SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) was successfully held in Lecture Hall 205 of the Sino-French Building.

On the afternoon of June 18, 2025, the 25th Joint Management Committee (JMC) meeting of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) was held in a hybrid online-offline format in Shanghai and Paris.

On June 11, the results of the 2025 Shanghai Jiao Tong University Outstanding Bachelor’s Thesis Selection were announced! A total of 60 theses from 29 schools participated in the evaluation. After departmental recommendations and university-level defense reviews, 45 theses were ultimately honored. Among them, the graduation thesis 《Research on Robust Voice Wake-Up in Real Complex Scenarios》 by Wen Wen, a 2025 undergraduate graduate of SPEIT, was successfully selected.

From June 1st to 14th, 11 high school students from Lycée Louis le Grand and 4 outstanding students from Shanghai GuangMing High School met at SPEIT to participate in the two-week international summer school program “Metropolitan Sustainable Development and Rural Revitalization: Exploring the Future in the Midst of Change”.
