On September 19, 2025, Rachid MALTI, Science and Technology Consul of the French Consulate General in Shanghai, and Benjamin DEMIERE, Education Consul, visited the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology to conduct in-depth exchanges and preparations for the 3rd "My Thesis in 3 Minutes" Competition (Ma Thèse en 3 Minutes Chrono, MT3C), which is scheduled to be held in late November. Wang Qian, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tao Lina, Head of French Affairs, Zied MOUMNI, French Dean of the ParisTech Elite Institute of Technology, and Qi Guifang, Director of the Cooperation and Development Office, attended the meeting.

To further deepen industry-education integration and build a bridge for collaborative talent development between the university and enterprises, SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) held a thematic symposium on university-enterprise cooperation with Jingfeng Technology and FORVIA HELLA on August 28, 2025. The symposium featured in-depth discussions on multiple topics including talent cultivation, joint technology development, and student internships and practical training, laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation.

On the afternoon of August 29, the 2025 undergraduate freshman orientation of SPEIT was successfully held in the Lecture Hall of the Wenbo Building Conference Center.

To further improve the talent funding system of science funds, give full play to the role of science funds in introducing and cultivating talents, and attract more outstanding overseas young talents to work in China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) has launched the application for the 2025 additional batch of Excellent Young Scientists Fund Project (Overseas).

From June 29 to July 1, 2025, Academician Ding Kuiling, President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), led a delegation on an exchange visit to France. Professor Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), Professor Zied MOUMNI, French Dean, and Qi Guifang, Director of the Cooperation and Development Office, joined the delegation. The visit focused on deepening strategic cooperation with key French partners, expanding channels for joint student training and faculty exchanges, and achieved fruitful results.

To deeply implement the strategy of accelerating the construction of an international faculty team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, from June 10th to 11th, 2025, Professor Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, Professor Zhong Shengyi, Vice Dean, and Sun Chenye, Dean's Assistant, visited Hong Kong and successfully held five young scholars exchange meetings at City University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Hong Kong, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The events attracted more than 100 outstanding doctoral students and young scholars.

On May 26, 2025, a delegation from the French Inspection Générale de l'Éducation, du Sport et de la Recherche (IGÉSR) conducted a one-day teaching quality inspection at SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT). The delegation included Jean Aristide Cavaillès, National Inspector of Physics-Chemistry and SPEIT’s founding Physics-Chemistry Coordinator, and Claudine Picaronny, National Inspector of Mathematics. They were received by SPEIT Chinese Dean Chen Cailian, French Dean Zied Moumni, Vice Deans Lu Jialiang and Zhong Shengyi, former Party Secretary Liu Zenglu, and faculty members from Mathematics, Physics, and the Cooperation & Development Office.

On May 23, 2025, a delegation from the Institut des Hautes Études en Innovation et Entrepreneurship (IHEIE), led by Cédric Denis-Remis—Vice President of PSL University and founding French Dean of SPEIT—visited SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT). Both sides held in-depth discussions on Sino-French engineering education innovation, international exchange, and industry-academia collaboration. SPEIT’s Chinese Dean Chen Cailian, French Dean Zied Moumni, Dean Assistant Wang Shaobo, also Cooperation & Development Office Director Qi Guifang warmly welcomed the delegation.

In mid-May, a delegation led by Zied Moumni, French Dean of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Paris Elite Institute of Technology, and Vice Dean Lu Jialiang visited Morocco and France for international student recruitment activities. The delegation included Wei Xin, Director of the International Student Development Center at SJTU's Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; Hamza Boukili, Mathematics Professor at SPEIT; Ou Yafei, France-based Representative; and Zhu Sinan, Internationalization Specialist.

Shanghai Jiao Tong is one of the most historic and prestigious higher education institutions in China, renowned both domestically and internationally. It is a national university directly under the Ministry of Education and co-built with Shanghai Municipality. After more than 120 years of relentless efforts, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has become a domestic first-class and internationally renowned university characterized by being "comprehensive, innovative, and international”.

At the beginning of the new semester, the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) welcomed more than ten exchange students from French universities. To help them integrate into the campus more quickly and adapt to the new learning and living environment, the college planned and organized the Orientation Day event, providing them with necessary information and guidance, and promoting cultural exchanges between Chinese and foreign students.
