To deepen the exchange of experience in Sino-French cooperative education and jointly explore new models for cultivating elite engineers, on December 1, 2025, a delegation led by Geng Lisheng, Dean of the Zhongfa Aviation Institute of Beihang University, and Vice Dean Wang Yun visited the SPEIT for a study and exchange visit. Xiong Zhenhua, Secretary of the of SPEIT, Chinese Dean Chen Cailian, Vice Deans Lu Jialiang and Zhong Shengyi, together with heads of relevant departments, jointly received the delegation and participated in the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Xiong Zhenhua.

On the afternoon of December 2nd, Matthieu Lancry, Head of Internationalization at Paris-Saclay University, led a delegation to visit SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology. The two parties held working talks to deepen Sino-French higher education cooperation. Qi Guifang, Director of the Office of Cooperation and Development of SPEIT, together with Zhu Sinan and Zhang Yan, International Affairs Specialists of SPEIT, attended the meeting.

Recently, the finals of the “Dancing SJTU · Vibrant Arts” — the 5th Cultural and Arts Festival Dance Competition for SJTU Faculty — were held at Jingjing Hall on the Minhang campus. The cross-cultural musical performance presented by Chinese and French faculty members of the Sino-French Institute of Engineering and Management (SPEIT), featuring Si j’allais en Chine (“If I Had the Chance to Go to China”) and Charm of Jiangnan, won the second prize.

On November 26, 2025, the Grand Final of the Third “My Thesis in 3 Minutes” (MT3C) Competition was successfully held at the Lecture Hall of the Tsung-Dao Lee Library at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The event was co-organized by the Consulate General of France in Shanghai and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, hosted by the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT), and supported by Université Paris Cité.

On the evening of November 27, the 2025 Ruiyuan Science and Technology Awards Ceremony and SJTU Science Night event were held at the Student Center Building. The third Ruiyuan Science and Technology Award and the second Ruiyuan Young Scientist Award were presented, honoring five distinguished scientists and eight young scientists. Professor Zhong Shengyi, Vice Dean of SPEIT, received the Engineering and Materials Science Award of the second Ruiyuan Young Scientist Award.

On November 26, 2025, during the Third “Ma Thèse en 3 Minutes Chrono” Competition held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Joan VALADOU, Consul General of France in Shanghai; Rachid MALTI, Science and Technology Consul; and Antoine KOUCHNER, Vice President of Paris Cité University, visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Zhang Zhaoguo, Vice President of SJTU, met with the delegation. Also present were Zied Moumni, Dean of SPEIT, Zhong Shengyi, Vice Dean of SPEIT, and Li Shushu, Vice Secretary of the CPCC of the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute.

On November 20, 2025, the Sixth SPEIT International Young Scholars Forum was successfully convened. The event attracted over 50 outstanding young scholars from world-class universities and research institutions. Fourteen young scholars were invited to deliver academic presentations, engaging in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics in Information Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, and forward-looking interdisciplinary fields

On the evening of November 14, the first session of Le Coin Français ("French Corner"), jointly organized by the Student Affairs Office and the French Teaching Group of SPEIT, was held successfully in Room 205 of the SPEIT Building. The event was co-hosted by French teaching assistant Oxcélyne AMO and Mr. Marco from the Student Affairs Office.

On November 17, 2025, a senior delegation from Airbus visited the SPEIT. The two sides held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony and jointly inaugurated the “SPEIT–Airbus Joint Training Base for Excellence in Engineering”.

On the afternoon of November 12, SPEIT convened its 26th Joint Management Committee meeting in a hybrid format, with participants joining from both Shanghai and Paris.

On November 12, a delegation from Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), led by Estelle IACONA, President of ENSTA, visited SPEIT。 The delegation was received by Xiong Zhenhua, Secretary of the Institute; Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean and Deputy Secretary; Zied MOUMNI, French Dean; Vice Deans Lu Jialiang and Zhong Shengyi; Dean’s Assistant Sun Chenye; and Qi Guifang, Director of the Office of Cooperation and Development, among others, and a discussion meeting was held.

On the afternoon of November 12, the opening ceremony of the first “Descartes Class” of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT) was successfully held in Lecture Hall 205 of the SPEIT Building. Leaders from Chinese and French partner universities, along with representatives from industry, gathered to witness this new milestone in Sino-French collaboration in engineering education.
