
To deeply promote the integration of industry and education, strengthen university-industry collaborative talent cultivation, and align with talent demands in the fields of information communication and intelligent computing, on May 12, Lü Jiangying, secretary of SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, and Wang Shaobo, Assistant Dean, led a group of 9 faculty members and students to ZhongXing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation ("ZTE") for an industry visit and exchange activities. ZTE participants included Zhao Qihang, Recruitment Director for East China Region, Human Resources Department; Sun Zhenzhe, Intelligent Computing Algorithm Project Manager, Wireless and Computing Products Division; Yan Minzhi, Expert-Level Engineer for Platform Development, Terminal Devices Division; and Zhou Ruoyi and Zhu Yuening, Recruitment Managers, Human Resources Department.
The two sides held discussions on career guidance, internship practice, targeted talent placement, and joint curriculum development. They reached a broad consensus on deepening industry-education integration, optimizing the talent cultivation chain, and enhancing students' employability, laying the foundation for further cooperation in the future.

During the visit to ZTE's exhibition hall, the company's representative provided the faculty and students with a comprehensive introduction to ZTE's development history, business layout, and technological achievements. They also guided the faculty and students for a close-up look at of cutting-edge technologies and product applications, including intelligent computing power, industry-specific solutions, and smart terminals. The faculty and students gained a direct understanding of the company's technical strength and industry influence in areas such as digital communications, computing power networks, and terminal R&D. They also deeply recognized the urgent demand from the high-end information industry for internationally oriented, versatile, and innovative engineering talents.

During the exchange session, they discussed about the corporate demand for engineering and technology talent, optimization of long-term internship mechanisms, and deeper expansion of university-industry cooperation. Representatives from ZTE shared the company's urgent need for versatile, internationally oriented, and practice-ready engineering talents during its innovation and development in the fields of information communication and intelligent computing, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary abilities, engineering practice competency, and a spirit of technological innovation.
Zhao Qihang introduced ZTE's development strategy and the career progress of SJTU talents within the company, with a focus on campus recruitment, internship programs, talent development systems, and career advancement pathways. He expressed a strong willingness to continue recruiting high-quality engineering talent from the academy.

Wang Shaobo provided a detailed introduction to the academy's educational positioning, the Sino-French integrated training model, curriculum system, practice-oriented teaching features, and outcomes of university-industry cooperation. He emphasized that the academy places high importance on collaborative education between university and industry, continuously deepens cooperation with leading companies in the sector, and elaborated in detail on the academy's talent cultivation framework and its strengths in international resources.

Lü Jiangying stated that the academy, carrying the resources of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and top French engineering schools, adheres to an elite "engineering + French" training model, emphasizing practical ability, innovative spirit, and an international outlook. This approach closely aligns with the industrial development needs of ZTE. She expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to expand comprehensive cooperation in areas such as career guidance, internship practice base construction, talent placement, and joint curriculum development.


SJTU alumni Sun Zhenzhe and Yan Minzhi shared their experiences of growth within the company, job practices, technical problem-solving, and career development, demonstrating the strong progress of SJTU alumni at ZTE.
This visit and exchange have built a strong bridge for a future cooperation between the academy and ZTE, further solidifying the foundation for collaborative university-industry talent cultivation. It has injected new momentum into expanding student practice platforms, improving talent training quality, and aligning with the development of the national digital economy and information communication industry.
