On May 23, 2025, a delegation from the Institut des Hautes Études en Innovation et Entrepreneurship (IHEIE), led by Cédric Denis-Remis—Vice President of PSL University and founding French Dean of SPEIT—visited SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT). Both sides held in-depth discussions on Sino-French engineering education innovation, international exchange, and industry-academia collaboration. SPEIT’s Chinese Dean Chen Cailian, French Dean Zied Moumni, Dean Assistant Wang Shaobo, also Cooperation & Development Office Director Qi Guifang warmly welcomed the delegation.

The 10+ member delegation comprised representatives from renowned French institutions including PSL University, Banque Publique d'Investissement (Bpifrance), BNP Paribas, Daher Aerospace Group, Hermès Group, Curie Laboratory, and FOCUS Culture.

At the meeting, Dean Moumni extended a warm welcome and introduced SPEIT’s development history, international training model, and deep collaborations with top French engineering schools. He emphasized SPEIT’s commitment to cultivating globally competent engineering leaders through a unique "theory-practice integration, interdisciplinary synergy, and industry immersion" model since its establishment in 2012.

Cédric Denis-Remis expressed special affection for SPEIT as its founding dean, noting pride in its significant progress in teaching, research, and global partnerships.

The delegation highly praised SPEIT’s dual-degree/exchange programs with institutions like École Polytechnique and PSL, as well as cross-border internships. Discussions focused on SJTU’s international education policies, pathways for overseas students, and French employers’ recruitment of graduates.

Wang Shaobo presented SPEIT’s industry-academia research achievements. Both sides reached preliminary consensus on enhancing R&D collaboration and industry-education integration.

The delegation later interacted with SPEIT students, discussing academics, internships, and career prospects in a lively session.

This visit strengthened SJTU-PSL engineering education ties and established a robust platform for Sino-French talent development, R&D innovation, and corporate cooperation. SPEIT will continue advancing Sino-French excellence in higher education and engineering.
