RoboMaster｜SPEIT Students Help Shanghai Jiao Tong University Win Its Historic First "Triple Crown"!

The 23rd National College Student Robotics Competition "RoboMaster 2024 Mech Master Battle" recently concluded successfully in Shenzhen. Over 3,000 competitors from universities worldwide participated, engaging in intense competition and high-level challenges.

In the end, the "Yunhan Jiaolong" team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University emerged victorious, overcoming all obstacles with an undefeated record. They secured the national championship once again, following their victories in 2021 and 2023, becoming the first team in RoboMaster history to achieve the prestigious "Triple Crown."

The team consisted of students from various colleges of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Five students from the École des École des Études des Excellence de l'École des Études de Paris stood out and represented Shanghai Jiao Tong University as outstanding team members They are:

Grand Final: The pinnacle showdown of two double champions

At the finals, the Yunhan Jiaolong team of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the South China Tiger team of South China University of Technology staged a passionate "dragon fight". Both teams are double champions of the tournament and have a strong performance in the national competition, so this matchup is regarded as the highest level of competition for the participating teams. After three fierce competitions, the Yunhan Dragon Team finally relied on its excellent ground force strength, precise operation skills and innovative air-ground coordination tactics to successfully capture the base of the South China Tigers with three lightning-like offensives, thus winning the third championship title. In addition, the Yunhan Jiaolong team of Jiaoda is also the team with the most citations in the open source report of RoboMaster this season.

Pre-preparation: Race against time and high-intensity training

This season, the Yunhan Jiaolong team has always devoted itself to the preparation process with a high-spirited and enterprising spirit. Encouraged by the provincial and regional championships, the team members made use of the venue and teachers of the Student Innovation Center during the summer vacation, with the determination to break through themselves and the confidence to win, raced against time, improved the technology with high-intensity training, debugged the machine, and won the championship in the finals, fully demonstrating the enterprising spirit and solid technical level of the students of Jiao Tong University. Team Introduction

The Yunhan Jiaolong team was founded by the Student Innovation Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with Leng Chuntao, Wu Shukun, Qin Yifei and others as instructors. The team is composed of more than 100 students who love robotics, and is a robot team across departments, majors and grades, with four departments: mechanical, electronic control, vision and operation. The team recruits new recruits in the fall semester every year, and selects outstanding team members to represent Shanghai Jiao Tong University through scientific and technological innovation activities such as team training and mecha master intramural competitions. The students of the team uphold the team spirit of "the sun is the best, the contribution is not good", and they are committed to applying the theoretical knowledge learned in the classroom to the competition and scientific and technological innovation practice, so as to shine for the dream of engineers. In addition to the good results in the competition, the club was awarded the first batch of Shanghai student science and technology innovation clubs during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, and was featured on CCTV1 3 times and Youth Daily 3 times, and more than half of the graduates were admitted to well-known universities at home and abroad every year to continue their studies.
