On the afternoon of October 9, 2024, the inauguration ceremony for Professor Zied MOUMNI, the new French Dean of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, was held grandly in Auditorium 205 of the Sino-French Building. Attendees included Liu Weidong, a member of the university’s Party Committee and Vice President; Yin Haitao, Director of the International Exchange Office; Guo Liang, Deputy Director; Liu Zenglu, head of the dedicated inspection team and former Party Secretary of the Institute; Zhang Wenming, the Chinese Dean; Lu Jialiang, Vice Dean; and Yao Xue, Deputy Party Secretary, along with over 70 faculty and staff members from both Chinese and French backgrounds, all witnessing this important moment together. At the end of the ceremony, Dean Zhang Wenming gave a concluding speech. He stated that although today's inauguration ceremony was brief, it was profound in significance. It not only marked Professor Zied MOUMNI's official membership in the institute but also represented a new starting point for the institute to deepen international cooperation and promote academic exchanges. He called on all faculty members to work together and contribute their wisdom and strength to the development of the institute.
