"Le Flambeau Rouge" Project Achieves Outstanding Results in the 14th "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition

Recently, the 14th "Challenge Cup" Qin Chuangyuan Chinese College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition was held at Xi'an Jiao Tong University. This competition was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the CYL, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Student Federation, and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, and was undertaken by Xi'an Jiao Tong University and the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League. The "Red Light Sets Sail - Telling and Inheriting the Story of 'Studying in France through Work-Study Program'" project from the SPEIT won the Bronze Award in the "Belt and Road" International Invitational Competition.

Project Introduction

"Red Light Sets Sail - Teller and Heir of the Red Stories of Studying in France" focuses on the new starting point of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations. It addresses the practical issues faced in the inheritance and promotion of the precious memories of studying in France through work-study programs. The project has been carried out for three consecutive years in innovative forms for different audiences, including "Two Generations of Youth's Mission Pursuit Across Time and Space" photo exhibitions, bilingual drama performances of "Le Flambeau Rouge”, "Siyuan·Excellence" series of oral history interviews and books, and overseas heritage exploration social practice, attracting more than 500,000 people's attention to the history of the work-study movement in France. It has been reported by more than 10 major media outlets such as People's Daily, CCTV, and Xinhua Net; a large cooperation platform has been established, integrating more than 20 domestic and foreign units related to studying in France and signing long-term social practice bases.

The "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition is an extracurricular science and technology cultural activity for college students, which is guided, exemplary, and mass-oriented, organized by the Central Committee of the CYL, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, and the National Student Federation, held every two years. This competition continues to focus on cultivating talents for the Party, highlighting mass and practical orientation, adhering to the concept of "national interests," expanding event participation, and empowering youth. It guides and promotes college students to stimulate innovative spirit and improve entrepreneurial capabilities. Since its launch in June 2024, the competition has attracted more than 3 million students from over 2,700 universities to participate, submitting more than 390,000 innovative and entrepreneurial projects.
