Sino-French Faculty and Staff Visit the "Century of Studying in France" Corridor
At the beginning of the event, Chinese and French teachers visited the newly established "Century of Studying in France" corridor of the institute together. The work-study movement in France a hundred years ago was a significant chapter in modern Chinese history, cultivating a large number of outstanding cultural and scientific talents. In this history, the peoples of China and France have forged a profound friendship.

Wei Guanghua's Thematic Sharing
Subsequently, Associate Professor Wei Guanghua gave a thematic sharing on "The 'Two-Way Rush' of Sino-French Educational Exchange". She traced the historical origins and important milestones of Sino-French educational cooperation and introduced the fruitful outcomes of educational cooperation between the two countries. The SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology of Shanghai Jiao Tong University is a fruit of the "two-way rush" in the field of education between China and France. With the institute as a platform, both sides of China and France have continuously expanded cooperation in scientific research, talent training, cultural exchange, and other fields, achieving remarkable results over the years. In the new era, the institute needs to further deepen educational exchanges and cooperation, promote the two-way flow of students, knowledge, and ideas, provide more cross-cultural learning and exchange opportunities for young people from both countries, and cultivate more successors for the friendship between the two countries.

CAUNEAU's Exchange
François CAUNEAU, a visiting professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and from MINES Paris, has a deep bond with China. He is not only a witness to Sino-French educational cooperation but also a participant and promoter. He shared his thoughts and feelings about the educational exchange cooperation between the two countries. Since the 1980s, Professor CAUNEAU has been serving as a visiting professor at Chinese universities and has been promoting connections between MINES Paris and Chinese universities. Over the past forty years, under his promotion, MINES Paris has established cooperative relations with several Chinese universities, and in this process, he has also established profound friendships with many Chinese researchers.
Chinese teachers also shared their study abroad experiences, narrating their observations and gains from studying in France and other countries. Through the visit and exchange, Chinese and French faculty and staff gained a deeper understanding of the history of Sino-French cooperation and exchange and the future development ideas, laying a solid foundation for better cooperation.
The SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology will always be committed to promoting cooperation and exchange in education, culture, and science and technology between China and France. The Chinese and French teachers and students of the institute will continue the profound foundation laid by their predecessors and continue to strive for the promotion of academic and cultural exchanges between China and France!
