The atmosphere at the party was warm and lively, attracting hundreds of Chinese students and alumni in France, as well as several figures from the French education and business sectors.

Zied Moumni, the French dean of the SPEIT, Cédric Denis-Rémis, the vice president of PSL Research University, Xu Bo, the chairman of the Wu Jianmin Friendship Association, French director Jacque Malaterre, Fabien Siguier, the human resources director of ADISSEO Group, Xu Weiwan, the president of the French Alumni Association of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Yan Xiaohua, the honorary president, Zhang Yu, the executive president, and Zheng Ban, the chairman of the Chinese Alumni Association of École Polytechnique, attended the event. They joined more than 100 Chinese students in Paris, Shanghai Jiao Tong University alumni in France, alumni from American Ivy League schools in France, and French teachers teaching at the SPEIT to celebrate the festival together.

The evening party was co-hosted by Xu Weiwan, the president of the French Alumni Association of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Wang Yifei, the president of the IPP Chine Students Association and a student of the 2020 class of the SPEIT.

As the representative of the leading organizing unit, Zied Moumni, the French dean of the SPEIT, extended sincere New Year’s greetings to all guests and faculty and students, wishing everyone good health and all the best in the new year. He proudly stated that the students trained by the college have performed excellently in France, demonstrating outstanding adaptability and integration ability, which makes us all feel very proud.

Cédric Denis-Rémis, the vice president of PSL Research University, said that as the first French dean of the SPEIT, he was very pleased to see the continuous development and growth of the college, and thanked the college for its positive contributions to the cultural exchange and cooperation between China and France.

In addition, several French teachers teaching at the SPEIT also extended sincere New Year’s greetings to the students and alumni present, highlighting the deep educational ties and friendship between China and France.

The evening party was held on the cruise ship, and the organizers carefully prepared traditional Chinese dim sum, freshly roasted duck, and Lantern Festival Yuanxiao full of festival atmosphere, presenting a strong Chinese New Year flavor to the guests.

The Seine River reflected the lights on the ship, and the elegant style complemented the delicious hometown cuisine, just like the cross-cultural vision and sentiment of Chinese students in France. New and old students gathered together, made new friends, met old friends, talked about life, and discussed studies. On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old and welcoming the new, they looked forward to a bright future together.

The night view of the Seine River flowed gently, and the people in the cabin sang and laughed. The teachers, students, and alumni in France spent an unforgettable night together!

This evening party built a warm bridge for overseas students and alumni to celebrate the Chinese New Year, alleviating the homesickness that lingers in the hearts of those far away in a foreign land, and promoting the exchange and integration of Chinese and French cultures. The college has always attached great importance to the growth and development of overseas students and alumni, and sincerely wishes that students and alumni in France will make progress in their studies, thrive in their careers, and continuously reach new heights in life in the new year!
