As an important brand of SJTU's internationalization, the Sino-French Cultural Festival is not only an event of Sino-French cultural exchanges, but also a vivid practice of promoting mutual understanding of civilizations and fusion of ideas. SJTU will continue to build a platform for cross-cultural dialogues, cultivate new generations with international competence, and contribute wisdom and strength to the community of human destiny.

Rita PGNEN delivered a speech as the guest of honor. She said that this year's Sino-French Cultural Festival is characterized by a variety of charms and youth creativity, combining food, fashion, art, technology and other diversified contents, presenting a picture of cross-cultural exchanges. This year is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Europe, and France, as a popular destination for academic study, has a strong higher education system and rich scientific research resources, with 27,000 Chinese students studying in France. The cooperation between SJTU and French universities is building a bridge for young people to connect with the world. This year's festival is not only a campus event, but also a vivid portrayal of Sino-French friendship.

The festival consists of five cultural booths and “+X” surprise booths. In the five cultural booths, participants can wear Chinese and French special costumes and take photos to record the beautiful moments; they can also experience VR and interact with the mechanical dog; they can also savor Chinese and French food and participate in the food games; they can also draw glass paintings and DIY Chinese scented sachets. In the “+X” booth, participants can donate clothes to the public welfare booth, they can taste the crepes made by the French students, and in the AIGC and VR experience booth, they can put on the VR equipment and experience the AI facial fusion technology. The festival also set up two major surprise punch lines. Numerous participants completed the main punch lines of the five cultural areas and won special gifts at the prize booths by drawing prizes. 14 Chinese and French NPCs shuttled throughout the venue to greet the teachers and students together. Participants interacted with the NPCs and then took part in the King Cake activity, and eventually people ate the white kidney beans in the King Cake and won the hidden prize.

The event was hosted on the main stage Ge Aijia from SPEIT and Theo Atakpama, an international student from France on the banks of Hanze Lake, which was followed by wonderful performances by students from various colleges and clubs. In the evening of the Sino-French Cultural Festival, the documentary movie “Kangxi & Louis XIV” was screened, which attracted nearly 600 viewers. The movie vividly tells the historical story of King Louis XIV of France who sent six “King's Mathematicians” to China more than 300 years ago, and shows that Emperor Kangxi interacted with France positively with openness and self-confidence.
