
On April 30, 2025, the Li Auto team presented a lecture to SPEIT students on smart manufacturing technology and the electric vehicle operating system. The lecture focused on Li Auto's innovative practices in the fields of intelligent factory transformation, intelligent manufacturing technology and automotive operating system, demonstrated the booming development of China's new-energy automotive industry and its leading position in the global market, and gave students an intuitive feel for the infinite possibilities of scientific and technological innovation in the company.
The first part of the conference was presented by Mr. Xu Mian, Head of Manufacturing Engineering at Li Auto, who began by outlining the current state of the Chinese new-energy vehicle market: China has ranked first in the world for production and sales of new-energy vehicles for nine consecutive years, with a market share of up to 70%. The penetration rate of new-energy passenger cars in China has exceeded 50% for seven consecutive months, meaning that new-energy vehicles have become a mainstream consumer choice. With a mission to “create a mobile home and a happy home”, Li Auto is committed to creating high-quality, intelligent electric vehicles that meet the needs of traveling families.


At the conference, Xu Mian particularly emphasized that the rapid development of smart manufacturing technology is inseparable from the joint efforts of the research team. He emphasized that young people have shown great potential and vitality in technological innovation, and that their wisdom and creativity are injecting a constant stream of new strength into the field of intelligent manufacturing. Xu Mian encouraged the students to actively engage in the practice of scientific and technological innovation, and to contribute to the development of the industry.
In the second part of the conference, Mr. Huang Zhen detailed the development history and open source decision of the Xinghuang OS operating system. As a leader in the intelligent electric vehicle industry, Li Auto demonstrated its commitment to openness and sharing in the industry. However, Li Auto has not kept this important achievement to itself, but has chosen to open it up to the whole industry. This initiative also underlines Li Auto's vision and sense of responsibility as an industry leader. This concept of open sharing was also welcomed by the teachers and students present, who said that Li Auto's open source decision not only set a benchmark for the industry, but also provided a broader development platform for the younger generation of engineers and technical talent.

During the interactive session, students had a warm discussion with the Li Auto team on the development direction of new energy vehicle technology, intelligent manufacturing and automotive operating system.
