A Delegation from Saint-Famille Lycée of Amiens and ISPA Language Institute Visits SPEIT

11.13/2025 312

On the afternoon of November 7, Stéphane Coyral, Principal of Saint-Famille Lycée in Amiens, France, and Su Xing, Principal of ISPA (Institut Supérieur de Préparation et d’Apprentissage), led a delegation to visit the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology (SPEIT).
They were received by Qi Guifang, Director of the Office of Cooperation and Development; Zhang Yan, International Affairs Officer; and Zhu Sinan, who also participated in the discussion and exchange session.

On behalf of the institute, Qi Guifang extended a warm welcome to the delegation. She noted that this meeting marked an important starting point for building cooperation between SPEIT and the two educational institutions in the Amiens region. She expressed the hope that this exchange would help students in Amiens gain a deeper understanding of SPEIT’s educational philosophy and resources.

During the presentation of the institute, Zhu Sinan provided a detailed introduction to SPEIT’s academic system, training model, and overseas exchange programs. She emphasized that the institute is committed to cultivating engineering talents with an international outlook and hoped that this exchange would enhance Amiens students’ understanding of SJTU and SPEIT, offering them more pathways for future studies.

Principal Stéphane Coyral then introduced the educational approach of Saint-Famille Lycée. The school emphasizes academic excellence and holistic development, and has long been active in promoting international exchanges.
He mentioned that every Friday afternoon, the school offers interdisciplinary enrichment courses, among which Chinese has been included as an elective subject. Students have shown great interest in Chinese culture and studying abroad. Principal Coyral highly praised SPEIT’s training model, recognizing its linguistic adaptability and academic coherence as an ideal example for international higher education preparation.

Qi Guifang further shared SPEIT’s latest practices and plans for international development, focusing on multi-level student exchange programs such as short-term study visits, semester exchanges, and dual-degree programs, as well as the institute’s recruitment dynamics and student profiles.
She noted that SPEIT will continue to expand its dimensions of international cooperation—both attracting more international students and encouraging its own students to study abroad to gain intercultural experience. She particularly emphasized that the summer program is a key part of international training: after completing their first-year French courses, students may study in France during the summer between their first and second years to enhance their language proficiency and practical skills.

Su Xing introduced the educational features of ISPA, which specializes in providing French language training and cultural immersion courses for international students and professionals. She expressed ISPA’s willingness to design customized summer intensive French programs for SPEIT students to help improve their linguistic and cultural adaptability.

During the discussion session, the two sides engaged in a dialogue on topics such as international student recruitment strategies, preparatory education cooperation, and two-way student mobility. Both parties agreed on the need to further strengthen communication, expand areas of cooperation, and jointly advance Sino-French educational exchanges to a deeper level.

At the end of the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged gifts and took group photos, marking a successful conclusion to the visit and expressing mutual expectations for future collaboration.
