On March 12, Vincent Luciani, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Artefact, and Edouard de Mezerac, Global Chief Executive Officer of the company, visited the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the integration of industry and education and talent cultivation, and conducted a ceremony to renew their memorandum of cooperation. This renewal marks a further deepening of the partnership established between the two institutions since 2019. Looking ahead, they will jointly explore new models for cultivating “AI+” talents oriented toward the era of artificial intelligence.

Attendees at the meeting and signing ceremony included Vincent Luciani, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Artefact; Edouard de Mezerac, Global Chief Executive Officer; Thibault MutinelliSzymanski, Chief of Staff; Zhang Pengfei, Vice President of Data Science for China; Zied Moumni, French Dean of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology; Lu Jialiang, Vice Dean; and Wang Shaobo, Assistant to the Dean. The event was moderated by Wang Shaobo.

During the discussion session, Zied Moumni warmly welcomed the Artefact delegation. He noted that the institute has always maintained close ties with industry and is committed to cultivating outstanding engineering talents aligned with industrial needs. Since the first memorandum of cooperation was signed in 2019, Artefact has been deeply involved in the institute’s talent training programs, providing strong support for students’ growth and development. Several students from the institute have completed internships at Artefact, where they strengthened their professional capabilities and accumulated practical experience in real industrial settings. He expressed his expectation that this renewed partnership would open the door to broader and deeper cooperation.

Vincent Luciani shared Artefact’s latest industry insights and technological practices in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science. He emphasized that Artefact places great importance on deep collaboration with leading universities. Over the years, cooperation with the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology has clearly demonstrated that its students possess both solid theoretical foundations and outstanding innovative capabilities—qualities that strongly match the company’s demand for talent in the AI era. Artefact looks forward to establishing a long-term partnership with the institute and will continue to build bridges for young talents to transition from the classroom to industry by opening real industrial research topics, providing internship opportunities, and jointly supervising innovative projects.

Following the meeting, Vincent Luciani also delivered a keynote lecture for students titled “AI for Education: From Challenges to Opportunities.” Drawing on Artefact’s cutting-edge global practices, he shared new concepts and pathways for talent cultivation and career development in the age of artificial intelligence.

This exchange marks another substantial step forward in the long-term partnership between the two sides. In 2019, the institute and Artefact signed their first memorandum of cooperation at Artefact’s Shanghai office, launching in-depth collaboration in talent training and research projects in the fields of data science and data engineering. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education, strengthening collaboration in areas such as joint curriculum development, internships and practical training, and joint talent cultivation, while working together to nurture outstanding engineering talents capable of meeting the demands of the AI era.
