     On the afternoon of April 16, Bo Lei, Assistant to the President and Director of the President’s Office, and Zhao Weiwen, Director of Industry-Education Integration Management and Head of the Industry-Education Integration Department, from Zhejiang SUPCON Technology Co.,Ltd, visited SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology. SUPCON and SPEIT engaged in in-depth discussions on industry-education integration, collaborative talent development, and scientific research cooperation in the context of “Industrial AI,” and reached an agreement on deepening cooperation.

     At the meeting, Chen Cailian, Chinese Dean of SPEIT, introduced SPEIT’s founding background, student development programs, and its distinctive approach to talent cultivation through deep industry engagement. Currently, SPEIT has established in-depth partnerships with more than 40 leading enterprises and developed over 10 specialized courses taught jointly by faculty and industry experts. Through diverse channels such as collaborative curriculum development, student internships and practical training, and joint research projects, SPEIT has achieved significant success in collaborative education.

     Bo Lei shared SUPCON’s latest advancements in the field of industrial AI and its strategic plans for industry-education integration. As a company that “emerged from academia,” SUPCON deeply understands the profound value inherent in collaboration among industry, academia, and research.

    SUPCON and SPEIT engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as jointly advancing the development of high-level joint laboratories and industry-education integration bases, co-authoring teaching materials, and establishing micro-majors in industrial software. Chen Cailian pointed out that, in the context of artificial intelligence, engineering talent development in the industrial sector is an endeavor that requires the perseverance of a “long-term perspective.” In the talent development efforts, SPEIT has always emphasized guiding students to establish roots in the industry through diverse approaches, rather than blindly chasing short-term trends. The collaboration between SPEIT and SUPCON reflects a high degree of alignment in the shared “long-term perspective” on education.
