The 7th Shanghai Young University Teachers’ Teaching Competition and the qualifying round for the 8th National competition were recently held in Shanghai. The competition attracted 275 contestants from 65 universities across Shanghai to compete in seven subject categories. Ms. Kong Sijia from the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology delivered an outstanding performance and won the Second Prize in the Basic Natural Sciences category.

Awardee Profile
Kong Sijia, a lecturer at the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, has taught mathematics and information engineering to undergraduates since 2023. Her research lies at the intersection of control theory, optimization, and artificial intelligence, with recent publications in top journals like Automatica and IEEE Control Systems Letters, as well as several patents and monographs.
At Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Kong has led multiple projects focused on curriculum innovation and ideological-political education in courses. Her teaching excellence has been recognized with a Special Award for Teaching Achievements (2023) and third and second prizes in the 9th and 10th Shanghai Higher Education Young Teachers’ Teaching Competition, respectively.
