11.14/2024 196

On the afternoon of November 6, 2024, the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology hosted a symposium on "The Development of Interdisciplinary Engineering Education Platforms Led by Demand." Assistant to the Director of the Reactor Engineering Research Institute of the China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute"), Wang Liangzi, Head of the Human Resources Department, Shang Jing, Senior Engineers Guo Fengchen and Liu Ting from the Design Institute, and Teacher Wu Yue from the National School of Excellence for Engineers at Shanghai Jiao Tong University were invited to attend. Vice dean Lu Jialiang of the SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology, Associate Director Gong Helin of the Academic Innovation Center, and Director Li Junyan of the Academic Affairs Office also participated in the exchange.

Vice dean Lu Jialiang first welcomed the arrival of Wang Liangzi and his delegation on behalf of the school. He reviewed the achievements made by both parties in course co-construction and talent co-cultivation, and expressed gratitude for the strong support provided by the Institute in creating the "Topic Capsule" industry-education integration education model at the school.

Subsequently, Associate Professor Gong Helin reported on the progress of "Exploration and Practice of the Training Program for Excellent Engineers in Industrial Software Facing National Needs," introducing the school's discipline construction, professional characteristics, talent training, and industry-education integration.

Assistant Wang Liangzi briefly introduced the situation of the Institute, focusing on sharing the graduate training system, school-enterprise cooperation, campus recruitment needs, and talent training trends that meet national strategic demands.

In response to how to motivate more corporate experts and industry mentors to participate in the entire process of talent training in school-enterprise cooperation, and issues related to the training of key national special project talents, Teacher Wu Yue and Assistant Wang Liangzi shared valuable experiences and suggestions during the exchange, providing feasible ideas for solving related problems.

In the interactive discussion session, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on summarizing the experience of "Topic Capsules," feedback from teaching experts, innovation in internship models, selection of corporate experts, corporate talent needs, and future directions of cooperation. Both sides expressed their expectation to achieve more substantial results in course innovation and school-enterprise talent training.

Finally, Vice dean Lu Jialiang presented the Institute with the school's self-compiled Chinese-French mathematics textbooks, hoping to further expand cooperation between the two sides.

Demand leads development, and direction determines the future. This symposium not only deepened mutual understanding and trust between both parties, consolidated the foundation of cooperation, but also provided ideas and plans for future in-depth cooperation. The school will take firm steps towards the new era talent training goals of "facing the four directions."
