In the French engineering education system, practice and internships hold a significant position. The SJTU Paris Elite Institute of Technology fully absorbs the essence of French engineering education, carefully designing a three-stage progressive internship system within its 6.5-year integrated undergraduate and graduate training system—cognitive internship, research internship, and engineering internship. These internships are gradual and complementary, with the engineering internship being the longest and most important.

The engineering internship is arranged during the master's phase, where students undergo no less than half a year of full-time training in companies or institutions. During this period, they participate in projects as trainee engineers, applying the knowledge and skills obtained during their engineering training to creatively complete designated work. The aim of the engineering internship is to help students develop innovative awareness in practice, understand the practical application of their professional knowledge and its value and prospects in the overall development process of society, cultivate team spirit, clarify career positioning, and become outstanding engineering talents.

From December 10th to 12th, more than 60 master's students will conduct their engineering internship defense, with internship units including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, BNP Paribas, Ant Group, Ubisoft, Huawei Cloud Computing, Schneider Electric, Porsche Management Consulting, among others, showcasing a diverse range of organizations and fields.

For the first time this year, the institute is opening up the observation of engineering internship defenses, conducted in five sessions with 20 spots available per session. Students interested in participating are welcome to sign up to absorb internship experience and broaden their career horizons!
