Eric Godelier is a university professor and holds an agrégation in management sciences. From 2004 to 2017, he served as the head of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department at École Polytechnique, where he was responsible for developing and coordinating courses on business and management. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, he also holds a PhD in history from EHESS.He is the national delegate for the Conference of Grandes Écoles (CGE) for the humanities and social sciences (HSS) and a member of the Alliance Athéna national network, chaired by A. Petit, CEO of CNRS. Since 2016, he has been president of the French Association for Business History. Additionally, at the Business History Conference (BHC—the world's largest business history association, based in the U.S.), he served on the board from 2020 to 2023. Since 2021, he has been director of the BHC’s doctoral school. In 2024, he was elected to the board of the European Business History Association (EBHA).Furthermore, he has been a member of the Academic Council Bureau of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris since 2019.
