Research topics: Sustainable transportation, bikeability, livable cities, social acceptance of the bicycle, transport mode choice. Study behaviors and perceptions in urban cycling to elaborate guidelines for revitalizing urban cycling in China. Thorough examination of the social acceptance and attitudinal issues towards cycling as a practice, and cyclists as figures, serving as a basis to suggest tailored urban design interventions and pro-cycling policy development. Investigate solutions for Safe Route to School (SR2S) and children transportation on bicycles, as well as the impacts of the new shared-bike systems.
